Oh the joys of the City...

Life here is settling down into some sort of routine. I have pretty much learned where to get all my esentials and I can comunnicate enough to order without pointing. It has been snowing more which is just awesome. It rained all practice Tuesday and was snowing by the time we left. I woke up this morning to snow but luckily it melted as the day went on. The barber said it was supposed to snow alot Friday. It is comforting to know that even here the barber is a person of great wisdom and knowledge, as well as a great source of gossip. It is a shame that I need a translator but none the less it is nice to know some essential things supercede cultural boundaries. Tuesday we went to Beșiktaș (a really cool part of town) with a couple of our teammates. They took us to this doner place for lunch and it was awesome. I dont think I have ever seen a chunk of meat that big that wasn't a quater of an animal. After that we had some coffee and then met up with some other guys from the team to play FIFA at a PlayStation Cafe. It is at this point I must make two admitt to two things. The first is that I had Starbucks for the first time here in Istanbul, I had to fly halfway across the world to try it. The second is that I really enjoyed plaing FIFA. I don't know the rules or what the heck I am doing but it was fun. I have been building some really good relationships with my teammates and it was a great time. I am able to start running Sunday and I am really looking forward to that and then playing soon. I am definitely tired of watching.
